As a youth sailor, Georgia Lewin-LaFrance competed in three consecutive ISAF Youth World Championships in the 420, including an impressive 6th place in 2017.


In 2018, Georgia teamed up with her sister, Antonia Lewin-LaFrance, and transitioned into the 49erFX. Together, the sisters took the bronze medal at the 2021 49erFX European Championships in Greece and finished 6th overall at the 2021 49erFX Sailing World Championships in Oman, achieving the best Canadian performance ever at this competition. Their outstanding achievements earned them the 2022 Rolex Sailors of the Year Award. Adding to her impressive resume, Georgia served as the strategist for Canada’s SailGP team for seven events in the league’s third season.


Georgia graduated from Queen’s University with a degree in Civil Engineering. She and her sister, Antonia, will represent Canada in the 49erFX at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
